In which I solve a problem.

It's a 1989 Mazda 626 - old enough to be not super-great, but in good enough condition to run well and basically not be a total piece of shit. Basically a perfect first car.
All I will say is: About. Fucking. Time. I am sick of saving like a maniac and waiting for money to accumulate. At last, one problem is solved.
(That's Greg in the background; he drove me out to see it.)
Ownership will be transferred next week.

In other news, the 25th was dull. I haven't celebrated Christmas for the last eight years because family; this year is no different. The Andersons did their celebration without me, which I am totally okay with. To me it was just another day. And, nah, this car wasn't a "Christmas present". It was something I have been waiting for and stressing over and struggling towards, which just happened to coincide with a day that some people think is special.
(wow can anyone sense the slight undertones of bitterness there because oh boy i sure was trying hard to conceal them)
I just want to get this damn ownership transferred so I can take it home.
