A good day.
Jan. 11th, 2012 07:10 pmToday has been fantastic. Warning, rambling ahead. :)
I ended up staying up all of last night, and towards the sunrise (and thus technically today) I was locked in conversation with the lovely
umbravita on various subjects, all of which came to a favourable conclusion. ^_^
Made breakfast, did my washing and hung it out to dry, and went to bed at about 9AM. Family went to Brisbane today, so when I woke up at about 11AM I was home with two of my sisters (who keep to themselves, so I may as well have been home alone). For some reason the urge to clean my room struck me, so I got into it.
Fast-forward four hours, and I get a call from the employment agency, offering me a job with a landscaping crew for the next four months. Hell to the motherfucking yes. Unexpected, but by no means unwelcome.
Fast-forward two more hours, and I realise I haven't eaten all day. Whoops. Another hour, and finally, my room is tidied and reorganised. I got a whole lot of "stuff" out of here, leaving a lot of space, and I did a new setup with my laptop involving a spare monitor instead of the regular screen, so I could keep the laptop shut and save space. As a side bonus, this leaves room on my desk for the incense stand I've got coming in the mail.
And at last, I've had a shower, had dinner, and am relaxing after a long, productive day. Got a job, cleared my room, dealt with issues. Couldn't ask for more.
