Sep. 2nd, 2012 11:39 pmI was thinking this evening, and I came up with a list of things I want to do with my life. They're listed in no particular order; most of these will be once my current situation is stable, and some may not be for quite a while.
First and foremost, I need to write up my daily schedule, so I can work these things into it. That needs to happen THIS WEEK. Like, tomorrow. Afterwards, include the currently possible of the following in it:
- Exercise every day and eat more healthy foods. There was once a point where I couldn't stand eating foods that were too greasy or sugary - go for that again. I am naturally quite muscular, and I want it to show.
- Learn to play the ukulele, as a gateway to other instruments and also because ukuleles are awesome. (I'm going to look into it after I get paid next week.) Eventually work other instruments into my life.
- Practice writing poetry, lyrics, and/or other things, at least once a day.
- Practice drawing at least once a day.
- Read at least one book a week, eventually increasing to two or three. Get a Kindle ASAP in lieu of access to a library.
- Cook dinner at least once a week, eventually increasing frequency.
- Get that eyebrow piercing (that will happen this week, assuming I pass my driving test), and later also a tongue piercing (possibly multiple of the latter).
- Buy a three-piece suit, with an additional hat and shoes, and wear the full ensemble to outings and suchlike.
- Start taking dance classes again - jazz and ballroom for starters, perhaps something more intense (salsa, for example) when I am more practiced and fit.
- Possibly get that drill tattoo; we'll see how long I want it for before I actually get it.
As soon as this is posted, I'm going to rewrite this list in present tense and print it out to display somewhere prominent.
