An adventure.

Firstly, fuck my internet. It's been a complete bitch all afternoon. Even now, I swear it took me an hour of constant refreshing to get this damn page to load. Better than it dropping out in the middle of an all-important conversation, but it still pisses me off.

As the title says, today was something of an adventure. After being unable to fall asleep till about 4am, I still had to wake up at 7:30 so we could make it through the morning traffic. (Ever since the Toowoomba Range had to have one side closed, the traffic has been routinely backing up for two or three kilometres, all day, every day. This is in a place where there is no traffic. Ever. Now a twenty-minute trip lasts an hour, if you're lucky. :/)

I had my psych appointment at 9am, so Dad dropped me off at the hospital after making it through the traffic, and I spent the next ten minutes trying to find the right building, finding it just as my appointment was about to start. After finding it, I waited ten minutes for the receptionist to help the three other people in front of me, then got a call from the psych asking if I was coming in. Turns out I was in the wrong building anyway. -_-

So I found the right building fifteen minutes into the fifty-minute session, spent the next five minutes getting formalities and forms out of the way, and settled down to business. Mostly it was just me filling her in on stuff I already know from my self-analysis writing. It was a very interesting talk, though, and I'm looking forward to the next one.

After that, I found out that Mum hadn't been able to get away yet, and after she finally managed to leave home, I found myself hungry as fuck (having missed breakfast) and not looking forward to the wait. So I started to walk.

St. Andrew's Hospital is not exactly in the centre of town. I ended up walking for over an hour and a half before I spotted a Hungry Jack's sign over the next hill. Not only a food place, but my favourite food place! I swear, I've never been so happy to see a Hungry Jack's sign in my entire life. Om nom nom. Mum called just then, said she'd finally made it into town, and I told her where I was.

After having to stay in town for another two hours, we headed home, braving the traffic going downhill this time. And then we got home, and then I fucking slept. ^_^

Oh yeah, I nearly forgot - when we got home, we found a note in our mailbox. Apparently we missed a visit from a courier, so I called the number and he said he'd drop by tomorrow. What's this? A... a package? :D

I love that word. "Courier". Something about the way it looks and sounds really appeals to me.

*cough* Anyway.

The note didn't say who the sender is, but we're only expecting two packages. My package, and one for my mum, and the person she's getting it from doesn't use couriers. Could this possibly be my package? I don't want to get my hopes up, but I think I will anyway. You know how it is - you get all excited about something, only for it to never happen? Story of my fucking life. It's been so long since I've let myself anticipate something, so I'm gonna give it a go. And if it isn't... well, it's not like I ain't used to crushing disappointment.

Anyway. I'm going to have a closer look at the note, see if there's anything to indicate that it might be my package. If it is, I'm going to go nuts.
