First - I got Daggerfall working! 'Twas a little weird at first, but it's interesting, and pretty fun. Yep, I'm goin' back to mah roots.
Also, today I started practising with the GIMP. I've never tried using it before, because my computer is really slow, and indeed it nearly crashed the first time I opened it. (I just closed all other programs down and it worked fine after that.)
And WOW. I've never realised that it'd be this easy to use without a tablet. While I can work just fine with my coloured pencils, I hate using them. I'm too clumsy. But after a couple of hours this arvo, practising with the colouring functions and some lineart I downloaded, and with the help of an excellent beginner's tutorial by RacheltheFox, I've been having a ball.
Now I just need a scanner so I can bring in my own work...
