shade184I've always had problems with my hair. (Dun worry, this isnt turning into an angst-fest, just need some context.) Its ridiculously thick and curly, and while people (mostly hairdressers, heh) have said it's nice, that isn't much consolation when I literally have only one way to control it; that is, to cut it all off. I would love straight hair that I could actually do things with, but that's not what I'm getting at. ^_^
The other thing about my hair is that I know I'm going to go bald early. My dad, his brothers, and my grandfather all have it - curly hair, a high widow's peak and early balding, and it's likely that I'm going to get it too. And it'll suck, because all that together looks pretty ridiculous.
ANYWAYS.
I was joking with someone about it the other day, and they asked why I didn't shave my head, as opposed to the really short buzz cuts I get at the moment. I answered that because I tan really easily, at the moment I have a relatively tanned face but my scalp would be pale if I shaved it, and since I don't get outside much anymore, it would probably stay that way for a while.
... then I realised, what if I DID shave my head? And then I wondered, what if I also got that eyebrow piercing I've wondered about? And got that tattoo? And started wearing those badass coats and hats and boots I love so much? And actually worked out and got fit, like I started to do this year (with positive results!) before the depression kicked in?
I would be, like, a walking stereotype of The Big Guy who wears black coats and has piercings and tattoos and stuff.
... oh wait, no I wouldn't, because I would also be the biggest fucking nerd in existence, who spends all his free time gaming and on Tumblr squeeing over fictional characters and studying freaking electrical engineering for chrissake. XD
I seriously want to try this now! Why? Because I fucking can. :D Perhaps when I move out I can give it a proper shot. If it all worked out, that would be just in time for summer.
