Breakups suck. He's being a dick though. He really has no right to bitch to Faye about whom she chooses when he hopped straight to Dora. (Just as Dora has no reason to bitch about him potentially choosing Faye when she pounced on him so soon.)

I wonder where the comic's going to go to from here. It's funny that he brings it up after so long. I thought he didn't feel anything for her anymore.

That's a bit harsh. He's not being a dick, he's being straight with Faye (cause of the booze). We both know Marten would normally never say something like that, but as someone who's been there, I know all about that little spark of resentment that you get from that kind of situation, like it or not, that sits at the bottom of your heart until something is strong enough to bring it up. In Marten's case, the booze.

I'm just so sick and tired of entitlement from men who think a girl owes them a date. They don't.

Faye wasn't ready at the time. She can't help that.

Then she was, and he was taken. She can't help that.

Now he's single, and she's taken. That doesn't give him the right to be a dick. He should grow a spine and deal with it in a healthy manner.

He wasn't a dick, he was drunk. He doesn't think Faye owes him a date, and he doesn't still want Faye. He's just broken up with someone. Healthy relationship or not, that's freaking hard. I was out of commision for two years over a lil bit o' puppy love, so I can't even begin to imagine how he's managing to keep things together.

When I said "resentment", I didn't mean that he still wanted Faye. I meant he feels he busted his arse helping her, only for things to go downhill for him while she finally starts healing. (sound familiar?) He's not mad at her, he's mad at what's happening, and took it out on her because he was drunk and wasn't thinking straight.

If you punch someone in the face when you're drunk, you can still get charged for it. Getting drunk doesn't mean you can escape being held accountable for your actions, and I hold him accountable.
