Goin back to mah rootz.
Mar. 22nd, 2010 01:10 amI'm playing a computer game. An old one.
Like, 1993 old. Hell, it's nearly as old as I am.
It's called Gabriel Knight - Sins Of The Father. It's a point-and-click adventure game. Standard DOS stuff - animation and music are of that style. (Random fact - I've always liked the style of animation found in this game. Very simple, but effective and still gets a decent amount of detail across.)
I'm really liking it. It's an interesting story. I'm only a little way into it, and I have no doubt that I'll have more than half of it finished in less than a couple days. Still, it's entertaining.
At least it's helping to take my mind off other, less pleasant things. Perhaps more on it later.
PS: You know a game is good when it quotes Macbeth to you. Yes, Shakespeare. And not part of a mission or a clue or anything. It just tosses off a line at one point when you're looking at a certain thing's description. That was a cross beween a "wtf?" moment and "that's bloody awesome!" one.
